L.A. Colors Eyeshadows

After receiving an email from Cherry Culture about L.A. Colors being on sale, I placed an order to check out the brand.   I've ordered several times from Cherry Culture and really like them.  They are very cheap and their shipping is pretty good.  Plus they are always having sales.

These palettes are part of L.A. Colors Value Packs and come sealed in reusable plastic bags (which is kind of weird....I mean are you trying to keep them fresh).  They also come with a small eye liner pencil  in black.

Regular priced they are only $2.00, which is a pretty good deal.

These 6 pan eyeshadow palettes were packaged seperately and run $1.80 regular price.

This palette was part of the value pack and I have to say the worse one.  All of the colors look exactley alike, which is kind of lame.  I mean I love Pink, but not 10 pans of the same color.

Alot of the shadows are way more vibrant than my camera was able to capture.  (Especially those in the 10 pan palettes) I have not had time to swatch them all, but the one I did was full of shimmer and sparkle.  Let me know if you would like to see swatches.

I am glad I placed the order, the colors look really fun and I got a ton of stuff to play around with. Its not the highest quality makeup and I think it would be great for people starting out with makeup or junkies like me who enjoy playing around with fun colors.

I think I might try out their blushes next, I saw they were on sale for around $4.00 and they have a huge variety.  Whats your feedback on this brand?

Obessive Compulsive Cosmetics - Lip Tar Swatches

I’ve been dying to try the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tars. Here is some product info from the OCC website.

“A stunning new innovation in lip color, OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish. Ultra-saturated in color, Lip Tar contains an unprecedented amount of pigment - a little goes a very, very long way! An intense yet featherweight layer of color that stands up to the scrutiny of Hi-Def Video and Digital Photography, without ever looking (or feeling!) heavy. Meant to be mixed, Lip Tar comes in concise array of colors for a limitless selection of shades made by you!

Like all of our products, OCC Lip Tar is 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free, and is also free of parabens and other harsh preservatives. A simple, elegant formula that contains Hemp Oil, Peppermint Oil and Vitamin E, OCC Lip Tar feels as good on the lips as it looks!”

I finally took the plunge and placed an order. I stuck with the pinkish colors to start with and my order included

Anime – Vivid, Neon Pink

Pageant – Beauty Queen Fuschia

Demure – Rich, Purplish Fuschia

Hoochie – True Magenta

(For some reason in these pictures Anime and Pageant look the same on me, but I had the hardest time trying to capture the beauty of these two.)

This product is beyond AMAZING, it’s a little package but you need such a minimal amount to get color payoff one tube will last you FOREVER. Its very creamy, super pigmented and has a staying power that’s out of this world. Even after wiping it off it left a nice stain on my lip.

I do plan on ordering more, especially since they recommend mixing to create your own colors. They run $12.50 each and shipping was around 5.00. It took about a week to get my order, but I placed it during Memorial Weekend.

Victoria's Secret "Brilliant Lip Shine" - Torrid

The other day while perusing the mall I decided to stop in Victoria Secret’s. I normally only go in there because I love their fragrances, but I was memorized by their AMAZING makeup selection. Though its kind of small compared to other brands, it’s a quality makeup line. I was drawn to their lip products and left with several lipsticks and one lip shine.

The lip shine I got was in the color Torrid, a Shimmery Fuchsia color. The lip shine is highly pigmented and a little goes a long away, plus it’s not sticky like some of my other glosses. I was also shocked that it lasted through dinner fully intact.

I am definitely going back to get more of these lip shines, especially with its $10.00 price tag.

You can purchase this product at their store or their website.

Feeding my addiction!

I buy a TON of beauty products and read WAY too many beauty blogs, so what would be my next logical step COMBINE the two.

I am going to give this beauty blog thing a go and see how it works out, plus then I won’t feel so guilty indulging in my habit if I feel like I am “helping” someone else become addicted too!!
